George Michael was one of, if not my favourite musician/artist ever. For my entire creative life which spans back to about 4 years old drawing rainbows and sunshine, I have listened to all of his albums, cassette tapes, CDs and then onto iTunes where I listen to him now still as I paint alot of the time. His voice I feel like is other worldly and is probably my favourite as I’ve listened to him through my emotional ups and downs throughout my life.
He was such a beautiful, talented, compassionate, kind and unique soul with amazing style and integrity. He followed his heart and never compromised his artistic vision for quality out of this world. In George Michael’s best interview (I think) – “I’m Your Man” he talks about music, his career, politics and staying true to yourself. One thing he says that I especially resonate with as an artist… “The difficulty artistically – is in learning your craft, learning about life and changing as a person and yet holding on to what gave you that appeal in the first place.”
I love you George Michael and am grateful that I can I listen your voice forever. I know you’re in a better place now.
