Rough sketch for New Painting of Moose in birch trees                                                                                 Rough sketch for new commissioned painting…Before I start a painting, I almost always and have always planned it out and do a very rough sketch. It doesn’t necessarily look like anything great or detailed and I intentionally don’t spend a ton of time on it. But it’s an important part of my process and gives me an idea of the layout and helps me see what it’ll look like before I start. Sometimes the beginning is just as important as the end! 🙂
