Bio
Born in Vancouver, raised in Vancouver and Toronto, Jacqueline Bourne is a freethinker and a creative spirit. Jackie uses her strengths in conceptual development and illustration to provide innovative and positive works of art. She has been involved in dance, music and visual arts since childhood. In addition to having taken various drawing and painting classes over the years, she attended the Fine Arts program at Langara College. In 2005, she received a 3-year diploma in Graphic Design and Illustration from Capilano University in North Vancouver, B.C.
She seeks to engage the world through her work on several levels – emotional, intellectual and spiritual – with bold energy, playful color and a sense of mystery and mysticism.
In 2012, Jackie spent some time along the coast of the Caribbean Sea – snorkeling and exploring the rich culture of the Mayan Riviera, Mexico. Her time there gave her a deeper appreciation of and served as a huge reminder for the need to preserve the beauty and our connection to the oceans, animals and the natural world. This awakening sparked a renewed, deeper understanding of her artistic voice, which continues to motivate and inspire her work. Jackie currently lives in Vancouver, BC, Canada, enjoying the beauty and natural surroundings of the Westcoast along the Pacific Ocean. Collectors of Jackie’s work can be found in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.
In addition to her art, she’s passionate about doTERRA essential oils. In 2017, Jackie began incorporating their essential oils and products into her daily life for a variety of health/lifestyle benefits. DoTERRA has helped her continue to pursue her art career and has substantially improved her life – emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually.
